Hi Vanessa! I just made a for sale category… you inspired me to finally do this after months of thinking about it with no action.
Did you see my work at the Moss Street Paint-In? If so, you might remember the old folks I was painting as an example. I was going to give that to my dad, but if someone is interested in buying it, he would be all for that too.
Also, I could paint one of your own photos or slides too if you have any?

Leslie – There’s a picture of Chad and I holding Adam as a baby that is EXACTLY like this – i thought for a minute it was us but i had been changed to a boy!! We have to get mom to find it :)

Just the other day I was talking to Adam about my prices. Someone had been in his store and had said that they would be more likely to buy one of my paintings if they were more expensive! I just thought that was so silly, and disheartening. I guess if someone wants to buy art as an investment or as a status symbol that would make sense.

I am very happy that your daughter truly likes my work for what it is, finds it inspiring, and will enjoy looking at it again and again… thank you thank you thank you :)

My 20 year old daughter, Georgia, bought one of your paintings today, after much consideration – the untitled one that you might call “up skirt”.

We had been to the Victoria Art Gallery earlier in the day, and talked about certain paintings that one could look at again and again and again.

She had been thinking about that painting of yours for quite some time (it even inspired her to do a painting of her own on wood, using some of your technique).

It is the first art piece she has ever purchased, and I can’t describe how exciting is was for her to become the owner.

Thank you for making it possible for a young person on a limited budget to purchase your art.

Just showed this to my folks wiggerty. They love it. My mom said that was at their first tiny house in Port. Everyone came over to help out. My dad said he had both arms up and was putting up the wallpaper, when your mom came and pulled down his pants! That’s probably why she has such fond memories of that night, hee;)

Love you and love that my family gets to show up so many times in your F-ing amazing art!!! My mom’s already thinking if she bought this where she’d put it up.

It does hint at nightmares for sure, but this nightmare may be happening too… that’s what’s scary about dreams, sometimes they’re just so real. Originally the dark area was a cave and when I drew the first bear with the ears back, I thought something is wrong, either this bear is bad or something bad is going on… I drew him another bear, a friend to talk to, and then I had some other animals listen in. Friends or the jury, you can be the judge :) I think the little owl is a good guy too though.

i think maybe the two bears are talking about nightmares. i don’t know if the owl is part of the nightmares, she looks pretty nice. maybe she is guarding them? anyway i like this a lot.
